We have an amazing team of teachers, many of whom have been teaching at the school for several years.

Our teaching method is engaging and dynamic; all our teachers are experienced native speakers, qualified in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

Many of our teachers also contribute to the school’s on-going, internal support and training.

Amaya Alonso

¡Hola a todos! I am Amaya from Salamanca.

I have more than 15 years teaching experience after completing my BA and Masters Degree in teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language.

My career began at the University of Salamanca and since then I have taught in Europe and the USA before moving to London where I found my second home at Vamos.

Now seven years later I have a new and exciting role as Academic Manager at Vamos in Valencia where we look forward to teaching Spanish to students from all over the world.

I hope to see you soon in this beautiful city!

Antonio Avendano

¡Hola! Me llamo Antonio y soy de València.

Let me introduce myself! I’m a Spanish as a foreign language teacher recognized by the University of Barcelona and IH Barcelona. For the last five years I have been teaching in the UK and Slovakia before moving to the island of Menorca.

I have worked both as a freelance teacher and Head of Spanish Language Department in an international school and I am also an official DELE examiner  for levels A1 to C2.

My lessons follow the communicative approach and most important, I try to ensure a comfortable classroom environment for learning!

Now, I’m back at home in lovely València and I look forward to seeing you soon at Vamos!

Bettina Lucía Vellé

¡Muy buenas! ¡Yo soy Bettina, de Valencia!

If you come to Vamos in Valencia, I will take you to exciting flamenco shows, language exchanges on the beautiful valencian beaches, tapas tour in the old town of Valencia, and lots of different local activities!

I will explain all the curiosities about the city and the Spanish culture and you will fall in love with Valencia so easily!

I have worked as a coordinator for social, cultural exchanges in hostels, bars and agrotourism programs. I love arts (any kind): music, literature, painting, dance, theatre... I have a degree in Art History and I have worked in museums, in artists’ ateliers as well as in film shootings.

I always try to see the artistic side of things and to communicate this to others.

Clara Ureña

¡Hola a todos! I am Clara from Valencia.

I hold a PhD in applied linguistics and language teaching by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Brussels) and the University of Alcalá (Madrid) where I had previously obtained a master’s degree in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

I have been teaching Spanish both in Spain and the United Kingdom to learners of all ages and proficiency levels, and different nationalities.

My job is my biggest passion. I love to teach my beautiful language and see how my students improve their Spanish language skills.

I am a very passionate, motivating and patient teacher. My lessons are enjoyable and highly interactive with a focus on real communication and the Spanish culture and I always try to provide my students with all the necessary tools (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation…) to communicate effectively in Spanish.

I look forward to meeting you all at Vamos, and have a great time together while learning the language!

Costanza Alvaro

¡Hola! My name is Costanza and I am from Zaragoza!

I am bilingual in Italian and I'm trying to get better and better at English and French.

I have a true love for languages and luckily my job is my biggest passion. I have lived in many places: Italy, Mexico, France, Belgium, the UK... but I have always returned to my home in the lively and pretty international Valencia.

I have a CLTA Certificate in Spanish (Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults) and I plan my lessons so my students can progress while at the same time they have fun in the classroom.

I have a communicative approach and I always do all my best to adapt the lessons I prepare to the needs and learning style of my students.

I feel happy and lucky to welcome you at ¡Vamos!

Jordi Castro

¡Hola! I am Jordi and I am from Valencia.

I have studied a master’s degree in Spanish as a foreign language at the University Camilo José Cela in Madrid and I have been working as a Spanish teacher in France, Scotland and Valencia for some years in universities, language academies and in the Instituto Cervantes of Toulouse.

I feel lucky working as a Spanish teacher because I can meet people from different nationalities, I can discuss a lot of interesting topics with them and I can help my students to discover a new culture.

As a teacher I always try to put myself in the skin of my students and prepare the most useful and entertaining lessons for them.

Mar Casany

¡Hola! I am Mar (which is sea in English!) and I am from Valencia!

I graduated from the University of Valencia (East of Spain) with a bachelor's degree in Media Communication, but I have a master's in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from the University of Barcelona.

For the last ten years I have been working as a Spanish teacher in different centres in France and Spain, which has given me the opportunity to work with people of different ages, requirements, cultures and nationalities and introduce me to new didactic researches in teaching Spanish as a foreign language.

I am also an official DELE examiner (official Spanish as a Foreign Language Diploma), so I can prepare you for all levels from A1 to C2 (European Framework of Languages).

Marga Lorente

¡Hola! My name is Marga from Barcelona but I grew up in Madrid and I am now living in Valencia!

I have a Degree in Audiovisual Communication, a Postgraduate Degree in Teaching Spanish for adults and a Certificate in Teaching Spanish as a foreign language from IH in Valencia.

I have been working as a teacher of Spanish for seven years and I hope to go on for a lot more. I love meeting people and talking about their cultures - and mine!

My lessons are dynamic including a variety of materials offering my students both learning and having fun.
